Set thirty years after the Blackout. Replicant K is a new-generation blade runner in a world where the line between humans and replicants is more rigidly drawn than ever — replicants are engineered from creation to serve, and are absolutely forbidden from developing human emotions. One day, the remains of a female replicant are unearthed, and Lieutenant Joshi is stunned to discover that she was not only pregnant but gave birth.
